Welcome and Bienvenidos! My name is Lili Guzman, Grant Manager for the CASA Project at Butte College. Serving our Latinx comunidad is a great privilege. I pursued my education at Chico State, where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and continued my education by completing a master’s degree in education, specializing in Higher Education Leadership, at Sacramento State. As a first-generation college student, I understand the value of finding a supportive community. I discovered my own sense of belonging through programs like EOP, and I am proud to be an alumna of TRIO - Educational Talent Search and TRIO - Student Support Services. These programs have had an impact on my academic journey. I invite you and your families to connect with our dedicated CASA team. We are committed to extending a warm welcome and providing support to our students and their families. Together, we strive to foster a welcoming environment for our community because we know that this process can be difficult and scary at times, but we are here to help because we know that sí se puede.

My name is Iris Orozco, Student Success Specialist for the CASA program. My journey in higher education began at Butte College. It was here, where I was awarded two associate degrees: one in anthropology and the other in social & behavioral science, before transferring to CSU, Chico.
