Machinist, Fabricator, TechnicianThe Manufacturing program prepares students for productive futures in the Manufacturing industry. This program is designed to teach students skills by simulations and field internship experiences required to meet industry standards and ISO 9000 (International Organization for Standardization), lean manufacturing standards and Cal OSHA standards and practices. The program includes industry tours, internships and hands-on experiences with manual, semi-automatic, and CNC equipment operations that models industry principles and practices during the process of advanced manufacturing.

Automotive
Repair Technician, Industry Representative, TrainerThe Automotive Technology Program is designed to prepare students for employment as automotive technicians in both dealerships and independent repair facilities. The Automotive Department has partnered with American Honda and Subaru, allowing for manufacturer specific training and certification. We are a National Automotive Training and Education Foundation (NATEF) certified training program.
Program Highlights: Modern Training Facility, training aids, and fleet vehicles. Manufacturer Specific Training and Certification. Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) Smog Training Program. Gasoline and Alternative Fuel Powered Vehicles. Light and Medium Diesel Vehicles including Air Brake Systems.
Construction
Construction Laborer, Cabinetmaker, Electrician, Construction SupervisorThe Construction Program utilizes hands-on learning using modern technology, industry cooperation, to prepare students for a rewarding career in the Construction Industry. The program consists of an AS degree intended for transfer to CSU, Chico Construction Management bachelor’s degree program and certificates of achievement. This program responds to the area’s critical need for skilled construction labor. Employment opportunities are plentiful locally, and statewide.

HVACR
Service Technician, Field Repair, InstallerThe HVACR program uses modern technology, to prepare students for a rewarding career in the HVACR Industry. The curriculum is designed to provide students with internships and hands-on experiences with industry-aligned skills to install, commission, operate, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems. Employment opportunities are plentiful with HVACR jobs open in both residential and commercial industries throughout California as well as the nation.

Welding
Fabricator, Technician, Pipeline WelderThe Welding Technology program is designed to produce qualified personnel for certified welding jobs. Butte College has modern and well-equipped facilities. Program standards are in accordance with the AWS SENSE program and follows NCCER curriculum, ASME, and API codes. The program produces entry-level welding technicians qualified in the 6-G pipe and/or all position plate. There is a large emphasis on SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, OAW, OFC, PAC, and AAC processes, in all positions using various metals and alloys. Certifications earned in AWS, ASME, and API according to personal skill. Program graduates can enroll in the PG&E Power Pathway Gas Pipeline Welding Capstone Program. The Pathway specifically trains welders for potential careers within the petrochemical/natural gas pipeline industry.
Program Highlights: High demand for trained welders. Hands on practical training. 9 month certificate program with the option to continue on to complete 8 week PG&E Power Pathway certificate program.
