Facilities Committees

Land Use Committee

Committee Overview: The committee is structured with classifieds, faculty, management, and students. The committee reviews and makes recommendations to Administration related to land use. Recommendations may also go to the Facilities Master Plan Committee. 

The committee meets monthly except in January, June, July and August. Minutes are posted on the Land Use Committee SharePoint page after the following committee meeting.

Meeting dates: First Wednesday of every month from February to May and September to December at 7:00 a.m. in the Facilities, Planning and Management Conference Room. A Zoom link has been setup for those who wish to attend online. Please contact the committee secretary for access.

     
Facilities Planning Committee

Committee Overview: The committee members consist of faculty, classifieds, students and management. The committee reviews and makes recommendations to Administration related to facilities and the Facilities Master Plan. Recommendations may also go to Land Use for discussion.

The committee meets once a semester. Minutes are posted on the Facilities Planning Committee SharePoint page.

Meeting dates: Fourth Thursday in October and April from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Facilities Planning and Management Construction Trailer.
 


Safety Committee

Committee Chair: Christie Lee, Supervisor of Technical Services, 530‐895‐2574, leech@8n99.com

Committee overview: The District Safety Committee is an important part of the overall system of communication and is structured with classified staff, faculty, students and management representation.

The committee's purpose is to:
1. Meet regularly, but not less than quarterly.
2. Prepare minutes for each meeting showing the safety and health issues discussed and will be made available should they be requested.
3. Keep records of the meetings for at least one year.
4. Review the results for all periodic scheduled workplace inspections.
5. Review Accident Investigation reports for occupational accidents and cause of incidents and submit suggestions to preview future incidents, if appropriate.
6. Review reports of hazardous conditions or work practices and assist with corrective action.
7. Review and submit recommendations regarding employee safety suggestions.
8. Verify action taken to abate OSHA citations.
