ASSIST is the official repository of articulation for California's public colleges and universities and provides the most accurate and up-to-date information about student transfer in California.
An online student-transfer information system, ASSIST shows how course credits earned at one public California college or university can be applied when transferred to another.
Articulated courses are courses that have been agreed upon between community college and four-year university faculties as transferable courses that can fulfill lower division major requirements.
Agreements among each of California's community colleges and the CSUs and UCs be found on the ASSIST website.
Cross-enrollment is a program for current Butte College students planning to transfer to CSU, Chico. This program allows student to enroll in one class at Chico State for FREE while still attending Butte. To be eligible for cross-enrollment a student must have completed:
Call the Transfer Counseling Center for more information and to schedule a Cross Enrollment application appointment. Students must sign up early in the beginning of the Fall semester for Spring participation. Sign up early, as space is limited. Deadline to apply for a Spring class is November 30. Deadline to apply for Fall class is May 1.
Comprehensive Student Education Plans—every student that is seen at the TCC will receive a Comprehensive Student Education Plan. The CSEP outlines all General Education and major-specific courses needed to meet the student's educational goal. Transferrable units are calculated, as is transferrable GPA. Thus, after receiving a CSEP a student will know exactly how quickly they can transfer to a 4-year university and which courses still need to be completed in order to do so. Normal Application filing period for Chico State is October 1 to November 30 to be accepted for Fall term. Chico State will review applications as soon as they are received
