Steve St. Cin is the Transfer Center Coordinator. He has worked as a Counselor at Butte for 24 years. Prior to coming to Butte, Steve worked for 10 years at UC Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science Undergraduate Advising office. As an undergraduate, he attended Diablo Valley College. He then transferred to UCLA, earning a degree in History. He received his MS Counseling degree in Educational Psychology at California State East Bay. In his spare time, Steve enjoys reading autobiographies, gardening, golfing, playing the drums, and spinning vinyl records.
John Soldate is a Transfer Center Counselor and a First Year Experience instructor. He has worked as a Counselor at Butte College since 2006. Prior to coming to Butte, John worked at USC and at The University of Arizona as a Counselor and as an Assist Athletic Director. As an undergraduate, he attended Santa Rosa J.C.. He then transferred to CSU Chico, earning a degree in Sociology. He received his MA degree in Kinesiology at CSUC and his MS in Education from USC.
Hello Roadrunners! My name is Doug Minton and I am a counselor with the Transfer Counseling Center. In addition to Transfer Advising, I facilitate our Cal State Apply application finishing workshops. As a Butte College alumnus and a first-generation college student, I am all too familiar with the excitement and overwhelm of the transfer process. Jenna Perez is an Associate Counselor in the Transfer Counseling Center. Jenna has been working as a Transfer Counselor at Butte College since 2015. Jenna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from CSU, Chico and went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Career and Life Planning. Prior to working in the Transfer Counseling Center, Jenna worked for the Reg2Go program on campus as well as the Regional Testing Center. Jenna enjoys working with students in reaching their educational goals at Butte College and helping to facilitate the transfer process.

Melina Torres is an Associate Counselor in both the Transfer Counseling Center and General Counseling Office. You will also find she teaches a couple Psychology courses here at Butte! As a Butte College alum and first-generation college student, Melina approaches every session with enthusiasm and patience to assure you have all the tools and knowledge needed for the transfer process. As an undergraduate, Melina attended and graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Psychology. Returning to her beloved Chico, she obtained an MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to joining the Butte College team, she worked with undergrad students at CSU Chico and spent sometime as a school-based therapist for children (k-12). During her free time, you can find Melina hiking around Chico, enjoying live music, playing sports, visiting comedy clubs, and reading.
Allison Hardeay is the Administrative Secretary II in the Transfer Counseling Center. When you enter the Transfer Counseling Center, she is one of the first people to greet students and assist them with scheduling appointments. Prior to working for Butte College, Allison managed a local pet supply store chain. She is a Chico State Alumni having earned a bachelor’s degree in English Studies and a minor in Biological Sciences.
